Professional window cleaning is controlled detailing
Exterior glass work involves more than removing visible dirt. The technician must consider the glass type, coatings, seals, frames, screens, surrounding masonry, water quality, access, and the risk of scratching or leaking.
Traditional and purified-water methods
A squeegee system uses cleaning solution, agitation, and controlled removal of water from the glass. Water-fed poles use filtered water and specialized brushes so glass and frames can be cleaned from the ground in many situations. Purified water is designed to dry with minimal mineral residue, but technique and glass condition still matter.
Conditions that require caution
Construction debris, paint, mortar, hard-water deposits, silicone, adhesive, and oxidation are not ordinary maintenance soil. Scrapers and abrasives can scratch certain glass or interact with fabrication debris. Failed insulated-glass seals, damaged tint, deteriorated glazing, loose grids, and leaking frames should be documented.
Screens, frames, and surroundings
A complete scope should say whether screens, tracks, sills, frames, and hard-water restoration are included. Exterior frames may release oxidation during cleaning. Runoff from masonry or siding can re-soil finished glass, so sequencing window cleaning after other exterior work often improves the final result.
Access and safety
Ladders, roof edges, uneven ground, overhead lines, and fragile surfaces affect the method. Ground-based tools can reduce exposure, but they do not make every window reachable or every condition safe. The estimate should match the access plan and the level of detailing requested.
